What does a homeowner’s policy cover?

Unless the cause of the loss is excluded in the policy, a homeowner’s policy provides coverage for personal liability, medical payments to others, and accidental direct physical loss to your dwelling.

The policy provides coverage for your personal property for specific perils including, but not limited to: fire, lighting, windstorm, hail, or theft.

What information is needed for a homeowners quote?

Our agents will only gather the information that is absolutely necessary to get you an accurate quote (or policy). Please read our Privacy Policy for specifics. 

Information that is required includes:

  1. Name of the homeowner(s)
  2. Phone Number
  3. Address (City, State, Zip)
  4. Value of the home
  5. Year Built
  6. Is it currently insured? 
  7. If yes – through who?
  8. What are the policy dates and is it being non-renewed?
  9. Your current yearly premium
  10. Are there any unattached buildings?
  11. Mortgage information (if applicable)
  12. Closing date (if new purchase)
What information is needed for Auto Insurance
  1. Name of driver(s)
  2. Phone Number
  3. Address and length of time at residence
  4. Do you own or rent?
  5. Birth date(s)
  6. Highest level of education
  7. Employment
  8. Vehicle Information (VIN) and how long owned
  9. Desired coverages and deductibles
  10. Driving history (accidents or infractions)
  11. Current insurance company, policy dates, and length of policy
What information is needed for a health insurance quote (Obamacare)?
  1. Name of insured(s)
  2. Birth date(s)
  3. Phone number

  5. Address and county of residence
  6. Estimated household income for the year to be insured
  7. Doctor preference (ThedaCare, Affinity, Aurora, etc.)
What information is needed for a health insurance quote (Medicare)?
  1. Name of insured(s)
  2. Birth date(s)
  3. Phone Number
  4. Address (City, State, Zip)
  5. Medicare card
What happens if you need insurance and it’s outside the enrollment period?

You would need a qualifying life event to allow you to sign up for a health insurance policy outside of the enrollment periods. There are four basic types of qualifying life events and they are:

  1. Loss of health coverage:
  2. Losing existing health coverage
  3. Losing eligibility for Medicare, Medicaid, or CHIP
  4. Turning 26 and losing coverage through a parent’s plan.
  5. Changes in household:
  6. Marriage or Divorce
  7. Birth of a child or adoption
  8. Death in the family
  9. Changes in Residence:
  10. Moving to a different zip code or county
  11. A student moving to/from the place they attend school
  12. A seasonal worker moving to or from the place they both live and work
  13. Moving to or from a shelter or other transitional housing.
